Robert Conrad in Leather Chaps.. Damn, he wears 'em too well for words.
He was essentially 007 in the Old West, a secret service agent who found amazing ways to get tied up and use his toys to escape. But the big thing for me - when he wore those beautiful leather chaps. I never noticed chaps until I saw Robert Conrad wearing them. Holy fuck, what an epiphany for me. I didn't know how or what they were used for right away.. but damn - I wanted them! The chaps don't make an appearance until Seasons 3 and 4, which are now out on DVD. But you can find the show still running on small stations around the USA, mostly on "RTN" affiliates (Retro TV Network.) In Southern California, The Wild Wild West airs Sundays at 9pm on KDOC channel 19. It should actually be channel 19 on most cable systems. The whole series is also available on DVD from Amazon.com. |
